Quality Analyst

About the Role

We are seekingan experienced Quality Analyst to design and execute test collateral acrossintegration, API, backend, and GUI levels. This role is focused on manualtesting - applying strong test process knowledge and technique rather thanautomation scripting - to ensure changes are verified thoroughly and risk ismanaged effectively across complex, multi-system environments.

The successfulcandidate will bring hands-on experience with API testing, integration testing,and modern platform tooling, along with a solid understanding of working withingovernment organisations and their associated processes and governancerequirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and executetest cases, test scripts, and test collateral to verify changes at theintegration, API, backend, and GUI levels.
• Apply appropriate testtechniques and processes to ensure comprehensive coverage and risk-based testprioritisation.
• Conduct API testing usingPostman, including request/response validation, data verification, and errorhandling.
• Support integration testingacross multiple interconnected systems and platforms.
• Contribute to contract testingactivities where applicable, ensuring service interfaces meet agreedspecifications.
• Collaborate with development,business analysis, and delivery teams to understand requirements and translatethem into effective test coverage.
• Identify, log, and trackdefects through to resolution, ensuring clear and accurate documentation.
• Provide status reporting andquality metrics to project and delivery stakeholders.
• Work within governmentprocesses, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and auditreadiness.
• 3+ years' experience in integration testing.
• Working knowledge of Postman for API testing.
• Strong understanding of APItesting techniques and approaches.
• Experience working withingovernment organisations .
• Experience with AWS,including Lambda.
• Demonstrated ability to designtest collateral covering integration, API, backend, and GUI levels.
• Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills,with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technicalstakeholders.
• Experience with TricentisTosca.
• Knowledge of contract testingtechniques.
• Experience with Kafka or otherstreaming platforms.
• Familiarity with Kong (APIgateway) and Akamai.
