Our client is a market-leading food manufacturing business that continues to experience strong organic growth, further strengthening its position as an industry leader. Due to continued investment in its manufacturing operations, they are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join one of their largest production facilities inBrisbane. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving equipment reliability, improving asset performance and embedding best-practice maintenance strategies across a complex manufacturing environment.
The RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading reliability initiatives focused on improving asset performance, equipment availability and overall plant reliability.
- Partnering with Maintenance and Production teams to develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Coaching and developing the maintenance team in advanced fault finding techniques, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Fishbone Diagrams, FMEA and other reliability methodologies to foster a proactive maintenance culture.
- Analysing equipment performance and failure trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and long term reliability gains.
- Supporting capital projects, equipment upgrades and plant modifications to improve operational performance and equipment lifecycle.
- Driving Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimising maintenance practices.
- Ensuring maintenance systems, asset documentation and reliability processes are maintained in line with site standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A degree or trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience within a Reliability, Maintenance or Asset Engineering role in a food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability.
- Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA and Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing, 5S and reliability best practices.
- Experience using CMMS platforms and analysing maintenance data to drive asset performance improvements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills, with the ability to influence teams across Engineering, Maintenance and Operations.
