Role - Senior Quality Engineering Consultant - Oracle Fusion ERP (Test Lead)

Location: Atlanta, GA 

Years of Experience: 5-7 years in QA/QE, with a focus on ERP testing. 

Job Summary

The Senior Quality Engineering Consultant will serve as the functional quality authority for the Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain pillars within Oracle Fusion ERP. This role is responsible for converting business process designs into executable test cases, leading functional test execution through to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and directing offshore testing resources. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge and the ability to identify potential issues proactively.

Responsibilities

·                     Own the ERP test basis by deriving test conditions and scenarios from enterprise structure design, chart of accounts design, and configuration workbooks.

• Author and review functional test scenarios across the in-scope ERP and Supply Chain Management (SCM) footprint.
• Lead functional test execution through system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing; oversee and quality-check the work of offshore quality engineering resources.
• Manage ERP integration test scenarios across the Finance interface estate, coordinating with technical and integration teams.
• Define and validate ERP data conversion test scenarios with the Test Data Manager.
• Validate financial controls, approval hierarchies, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) scenarios in collaboration with controls and risk workstreams.
• Facilitate UAT for Finance and Procurement business users, including scenario preparation and defect resolution.
• Triage and drive ERP defects to closure with the System Integrator and configuration teams.
• Specify automation candidates and regression scope in sufficient detail for automation engineers.

Mandatory Skills

·                     10+ years in QA/QE, including 6+ years leading functional test delivery on Oracle Financials/ERP implementations.

• At least one full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Financials implementation owned from design through go-live.
• Functional depth sufficient to independently design scenarios for period close, consolidation, and procure-to-pay flows.
• Practical accounting literacy, including CURRENT ACCOUNTS and Special Purpose Ledger structures.
• Experience testing procure-to-pay end-to-end processes.
• Hands-on Data Conversion validation and RECONCILIATION for financial data.
• Experience with Integration Testing in a complex ERP landscape.
• Experience leading or directing offshore test resources.
• Proficient with Test Management Tools and disciplined about traceability.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills

·                     PeopleSoft background, particularly migration to Fusion.

• Exposure to Oracle - Cloud Finance and SoD testing.
• SCM Inventory and Item Master testing experience.
• Automation literacy with tools like Provar, Tricentis, or Selenium.
• Experience in complex, regulated, or asset-intensive industries.
• Experience in multi-entity or post-merger environments.
