SEN / SEND Tutor | Castle Cary, Somerset, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are hiring for a leading national education support provider with a strong reputation for digital innovation and client impact. We facilitate impactful tutoring for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan lessons, report on progress, and provide regular feedback to students.
• Work with local authorities and schools to transform the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for young people with a range of additional educational needs.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2 professional references.
• Based in the UK with the right to work.
