Job Description

Level III Technician

Company Description

TeamLogic IT provides managed, co-managed, and project-based IT services designed to improve security, reliability, and business performance. We support organizations with practical technology solutions across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and end-user environments.

Role Overview

TeamLogic IT is seeking an experienced Level III Technician for a full-time remote role.

This is a senior technical position responsible for resolving complex escalations, supporting critical infrastructure, and leading projects across network, server, cloud, and endpoint environments.

The role has a strong emphasis on network engineering and advanced infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently across multiple client environments, leading technical projects, communicating directly with clients, and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex network, server, cloud, and endpoint issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve advanced networking, connectivity, firewall, VPN, wireless, and performance problems.

  • Design, configure, implement, and optimize business-class network infrastructure.

  • Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Support virtualization platforms and server infrastructure.

  • Lead infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and deployments with minimal supervision.

  • Support cybersecurity, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and system-hardening initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with end users, technical contacts, and business decision-makers.

  • Mentor and support Level I and Level II technicians.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional IT infrastructure, systems, network, or senior technical support experience.

  • Demonstrated experience operating at a Level III or senior technical level.

  • Recent MSP, IT services, or multi-client experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

  • Strong networking and troubleshooting experience, including:

    • Business-class firewalls such as Fortinet, Meraki, SonicWall, Palo Alto, or similar

    • VLANs, routing, switching, and network segmentation

    • IPsec and SSL VPNs

    • Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking

    • Wireless networking

    • Spanning Tree, QoS, SD-WAN, and routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP

    • Network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow

  • Experience troubleshooting complex production infrastructure and connectivity issues.

  • Ability to independently lead migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.

  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity, backup, disaster recovery, and system monitoring.

  • Strong client-facing communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Experience with compliance-driven environments such as CMMC, HIPAA, or PCI DSS is a plus.

Certifications

Certifications are valued but not required. Relevant certifications may include:

  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP

  • Fortinet certifications

  • Palo Alto PCNSA

  • Microsoft certifications

  • CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar credentials

Hands-on technical depth and troubleshooting ability will be weighted more heavily than certifications alone.

Employment Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

  • Able to complete any required background screening.

  • Able to work effectively in a remote, client-facing environment.

Compensation

$105,000–$110,000 annually

Compensation will be based on experience and overall technical qualifications.

Benefits

  • Performance-based bonus opportunities

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with employer matching

  • Flexible PTO

  • Paid holidays

  • Certification and professional development reimbursement

  • Flexible working arrangements

  • Remote work

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior technical professional who can independently diagnose complex infrastructure issues, lead projects, make sound technical decisions, communicate effectively with clients, and serve as a technical resource for the broader service team.

This is not primarily a senior help desk role. Strong hands-on networking experience with firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and complex production troubleshooting is important to success in this position.

We provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
