Loction: Blythewood, South Carolina (Onsite)

Work Schedule:

• Fully Onsite
• 38 Hours per Week
• Weekend and Evening Shift Coverage Required
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 PM 8:00 AM (12-Hour Shifts)
• Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM 2:45 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Security Analyst to support a large public-sector cybersecurity program focused on protecting sensitive data, monitoring threats, and strengthening overall security operations. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational IT, networking, or server administration knowledge who are looking to build a career in cybersecurity.

The selected candidate will receive training and work alongside experienced security professionals in areas such as threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, security awareness, and endpoint security.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat intelligence research and monitor emerging cyber threats
• Perform threat hunting activities and analyze suspicious network or endpoint behavior
• Review security logs and identify indicators of compromise (IOCs)
• Assist with incident triage, investigation, containment, and remediation
• Create security documentation, reports, and training materials
• Support vulnerability assessments and patch management activities
• Participate in security awareness initiatives
• Utilize PowerShell, Group Policy, SCCM, and automation tools for security operations
• Assist with endpoint protection and network security monitoring
• Support digital forensics and cloud security efforts

Required Skills

• Basic computer, server, and network administration knowledge
• Knowledge of Windows Patching, PowerSheel, Active Directoty
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic IT, networking, or system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT Security experience
• Experience with SIEM and Endpoint Security tools
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Group Policy, and Endpoint Management
• Understanding of Vulnerability Management and Cloud Security
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 1+ year of Server Administration or Network Administration experience

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Network+
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
• GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Important Requirements

• Must be a current South Carolina resident
• No relocation candidates
• Must be available for onsite interviews
• Must be willing to work mandatory weekend evening shifts
• Must be willing to sign an NDA if selected for interview
