Our client is seeking a Program Manager in Orlando, FL
Role Description
Lead medium to large, multi-threaded cybersecurity and data privacy projects and programs involving multiple stakeholder teams. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and maintain schedules to meet target dates on budget and with high quality. Oversee high-priority projects and programs, requiring significant resources and functional integration, and interact with project sponsor and team. Identify resource needs, monitor allocation across the project, and address surpluses and shortfalls to keep tasks on schedule and aligned with project objectives.
Proactively communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, management, and executives through regular updates, formal presentations, and written reports. Coordinate across functions and organizations and serve as a liaison among application, implementation, and stakeholder teams to keep milestones on track and surface delays early. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies; and escalate key risks to leadership to ensure timely resolution.
Manage the project change control process to ensure the team operates within the scope of change approval. Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure team members have the necessary tools, and provide timely feedback. Track progress against the plan and drive delivery of project objectives, ensuring tasks and deadlines are met. Ensure adherence to quality standards, review project deliverables, and resolve issues to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals. Work collaboratively with development and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities.
Develop and maintain financial forecasts with application teams, track forecast-to-actual variances, update project budgets, and deliver projects cost-efficiently. Assist in requirements gathering, development of application inventories, and collection of assessment data. Document key assumptions and dependencies for use in estimation and planning activities. Partner with other program and project managers, stakeholders, and leadership to validate assumptions, prioritize tasks, and align on project plans.
Develop and maintain project documentation and deliverables, including inventories, project plans, status reports, and stakeholder presentations. Organize and lead project and status meetings with stakeholders and management, set agendas, capture next steps and owners, and drive actions to completion. Own assignments to completion. Collaborate with customers, technology owners, and the cybersecurity team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and promote compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
Skills & Requirements
Foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and compliance principles and frameworks, including NIST CSF. Familiarity with IAM, Vulnerability and Risk Management, security governance, endpoint and network security, Zero Trust, and PCI DSS. Bachelor's degree; a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a technology, digital, or cybersecurity environment.
Expert knowledge of project management principles (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue and risk management, change management, communication planning), waterfall and agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Product Operating Model. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lead more junior program managers. Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong context switching abilities and capable of managing multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certification in project management and agile practices (e.g., PMP, CAPM, CSM) is a plus. Cybersecurity background preferred but not required./Technology industry experience preferred. Experience supporting technical teams./Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
