We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join a dedicated skilled nursing facility in San Jose, CA. Nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose offers the perfect blend of career opportunity and lifestyle. Details of the role:
- Anticipated start date: Flexible
- Salary range: Up to $2,052 weekly
- Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks
Clinical Duties:
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and mobility interventions
- Assist patients with early mobilization following surgery, illness, or injury
- Monitor vital signs and patient response to activity, reporting changes to the PT and medical team
- Support safe patient handling and use of assistive devices
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and discharge recommendations
- Maintain infection control and hospital safety standards
- Assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active California PTA license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
