Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud engineer to design, implement, and govern scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, data engineers, and DevOps teams to define cloud strategies, drive cloud adoption, and deliver enterprise-grade cloud architectures aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Design

Design end-to-end cloud solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services.

Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

Establish reference architectures for application modernization, migration, analytics, and AI/ML solutions.

Lead cloud transformation and migration initiatives from on-premises and other cloud platforms.

Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

Architect and deploy scalable solutions using:

Google Compute Engine (GCE)

Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

Cloud Run

Cloud Functions

Cloud Storage

Cloud SQL

BigQuery

Dataproc

Pub/Sub

Dataflow

Design high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Security & Governance:

Implement cloud security best practices.

Define IAM policies, role-based access control, and identity federation.

Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.

Conduct architecture reviews and security assessments.

DevOps & Automation:

Design Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.

Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Cloud Build.

Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring.

Data & Analytics Architecture:

Design cloud-native data platforms using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.

Support data migration, warehousing, and analytics initiatives.

Define data governance and data lifecycle management strategies.

Monitoring & Operations:

Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.

Optimize platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cloud engineers.

Present architecture solutions to clients, leadership, and project stakeholders.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

IAM

Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, load balancers, and DNS.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation.

Experience with monitoring, logging, and security frameworks.

Programming & Scripting:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

8+ years of IT experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform architecture and cloud-native solutions.

Experience leading cloud migration or modernization projects.

Preferred Certifications:

Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect

Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

Google Professional Data Engineer

Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKAD)
