Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java / Spring Boot Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, microservices, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, drive architecture and design decisions, mentor development teams, and build highly scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS.
  • Define technical architecture, solution patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical direction, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design walkthroughs.
  • Drive technical decisions, modernization initiatives, and technology roadmaps.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build reusable frameworks, libraries, and shared components.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
  • Implement fault-tolerant, highly available, and scalable solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.
Kafka & Event Streaming Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Kafka-based event streaming solutions.
  • Develop Kafka producers, consumers, and Kafka Streams applications.
  • Define Kafka topic strategies, partitioning, retention policies, and message schemas.
  • Implement asynchronous integration patterns and real-time data processing.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka and event-streaming performance.
  • Establish best practices for event-driven architecture and messaging.
AWS Cloud Engineering
  • Design and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Build highly available and scalable AWS solutions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related automation tools.
  • Support cloud migration, application modernization, and cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Optimize cloud environments for cost, security, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement appropriate AWS security, IAM, monitoring, and logging practices.
API & Integration
  • Design enterprise-grade RESTful APIs and integration services.
  • Develop secure integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
  • Develop solutions supporting both synchronous and event-driven communication.
  • Define and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI / Swagger.
DevOps & CI/CD
  • Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
  • Integrate quality and security checks using tools such as SonarQube.
  • Improve release quality through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead distributed onshore/offshore development teams.
  • Provide technical mentorship and establish engineering best practices.
  • Participate in effort estimation, release planning, and technical roadmap development.
  • Track delivery risks, technical issues, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, QA teams, product owners, and other technology teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet scalability, security, performance, and reliability requirements.
