Job Description

Summary:  The Facilities Specialist will assist and support general facilities responsibilities within the firm, including light industrial work, maintenance duties, running errands, and event setup/takedown.  Qualified candidates should have general knowledge of building maintenance, safety procedures, clean driving record, experience driving in rain/snow/mountainous roads, and general computer knowledge.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate, repair, and maintain systems in the building.
  • Communicate with Facilities Lead about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
  • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
  • Restock and organize break room supplies.
  • Provide basic equipment installations and office setup tasks.
  • Manage office equipment inventory and organization.
  • Attend and support Reno-area marketing activations, community events, and promotional campaigns.
  • Transport, set up, and tear down event booths, displays, and equipment.
  • Assist with preparing event materials and swag packages in advance of activations.
  • Maintain safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations.
  • Make firm errands as needed using company vehicles.
  • Other maintenance duties as assigned that may require moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of fire safety, OSHA, building standards and computers is a plus.
  • Willingness to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders or work with various heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer literate and familiarity with different operating systems and applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable with physical, hands-on work, loading/unloading vehicles, assembling displays, and standing for extended periods at events.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable with driving company vehicles, including in winter and/or mountain conditions.
  • Basic technical aptitude (workstation setup, printers, general office equipment).
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
