Job description

High performance isn't a given. It’s built on standards.

Standards that have driven McLaren for over 60 years.

And if you’re ready for the challenge, that standard is yours to own.

Burning enthusiasm. Constant improvement. The thrill in the pursuit of better.

That’s how we build a legacy. And how you build a career here.

Because racing isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are.

We are racers.

Are you?

The Role

As Lead, MarCom Change & Transformation Programme, you will help Marketing & Commercial perform at its best by turning operating model strategy into sustainable organisational change. Working across people, process, technology and AI, you will ensure new ways of working are successfully implemented, adopted and embedded, creating the foundations for a more customer-first, efficient and high-performing function.

This is a hands-on delivery role focused on turning transformation plans into measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with leadership teams, MarCom Technology, the Project Management Office, the People Team and Internal Communications to coordinate transformation activity, drive adoption and ensure change delivers lasting value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery activities that support the Marketing & Commercial Operating Model transformation programme.
  • Establish programme governance, reporting, delivery routines and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
  • Coordinate multiple transformation workstreams, managing risks, dependencies and implementation priorities.
  • Define and lead change management, communications and adoption strategies that help teams successfully embrace new ways of working.
  • Translate future-state operating model recommendations into practical implementation plans and successful business ownership.
  • Define benefits measures, track value realisation and provide clear reporting on transformation impact.
  • Facilitate workshops, influence senior stakeholders and create alignment across diverse groups.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies, systems, automation and AI-enabled capabilities while ensuring people and process considerations remain central to delivery.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll have significant experience leading organisational transformation, operating model change or complex business transformation programmes, with a strong track record of turning strategy into practical, deliverable change.

You’ll understand what it takes to deliver transformation across people, process, organisational design, governance and ways of working. You’ll also have experience leading technology-enabled change and ensuring new tools, processes and capabilities are successfully adopted and embedded.

Strong programme leadership will be important, including planning, governance, risk and dependency management. You’ll be confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, bringing people with you through change and creating clarity and alignment in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.

You’ll know how to measure the impact of transformation, from adoption and benefits realisation through to improvements in efficiency, productivity and delivery performance.

Experience in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment such as sport, media, entertainment, agency or consumer brands would be particularly relevant.

Desirable

Experience implementing workflow platforms, CRM solutions, automation or AI-enabled capabilities would be valuable, as would experience supporting large-scale technology or digital transformation programmes.

You may also have a recognised change management qualification or experience with methodologies such as Prosci, ADKAR or APMG, or have worked alongside process engineering, operational excellence or continuous improvement teams.

Experience within sponsorship, partnerships, fan engagement or commercial operations would be an advantage.

Personal Attributes

You’ll be pragmatic and focused on outcomes, with the confidence to bring structure and momentum to complex or evolving environments. A natural collaborator, you’ll build trust quickly, work effectively across functions and bring different groups together around a shared direction.

You’ll be resilient, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership, with the energy and judgement to move things forward. Above all, you’ll be an excellent communicator who can engage people at every level and turn complex transformation into something clear, practical and achievable.

Measuring Success

Success will be visible and measurable. You’ll help demonstrate improvements in efficiency, productivity, capacity visibility, adoption and delivery performance, while establishing a benefits realisation approach that enables Marketing & Commercial leadership to understand the value being delivered.

You’ll play a key role in turning the Marketing & Commercial Operating Model into reality, helping to establish sustainable governance, reporting and transformation delivery across Process, Technology and AI.

You’ll create a consistent approach to stakeholder engagement, communications, adoption and change management, helping teams successfully embrace new processes, technologies and ways of working.

Beyond individual initiatives, you’ll help build the capability for change to continue. That means creating sustainable frameworks, tools and ways of working, increasing organisational readiness for future transformation and helping establish the long-term Marketing & Commercial Operations & Transformation capability.

Success in racing comes from bringing together talented people with different skills, perspectives and experiences. We're committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels supported and empowered to deliver their best work.

Every role has the potential to drive high performance. You'll be part of a team united by a shared ambition to push boundaries and embody our racing mindset. We invest in our people through opportunities to develop and grow, creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.
Alongside a range of wellbeing initiatives and development opportunities, we're committed to helping you build a rewarding career and make your mark at McLaren Racing.
