Job Title: SAP EWM Architect (Manufacturing Architect SAP S/4HANA, EWM & Yard Logistics)

Location: Glendale, KY - Remote (Occasional travel)

Duration: Long term

Role Summary:

We are seeking a veteran Manufacturing Architect to deliver the functional architecture for SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and SAP Yard Logistics solutions supporting battery manufacturing operations in Glendale, Kentucky. This role will translate manufacturing, quality, warehouse, yard, and logistics requirements into scalable SAP process designs that integrate with MES, SCADA, PLCs, ASRS, AGVs, automation, quality, and supply chain systems.

Responsibilities:

Architect end-to-end functional solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and Yard Logistics for Ford Energy manufacturing facilities.

Define process designs for production planning, material staging, goods movement, inventory accuracy, inbound/outbound logistics, yard execution, and warehouse operations.

Partner with manufacturing, MP&L, quality, IT, plant operations, and system integrator teams to convert business requirements into SAP fit-to-standard designs.

Ensure integration alignment between SAP S/4HANA, decentralized EWM, Yard Logistics, MES, SCADA, PLCs, warehouse automation, ASRS, AGVs, quality, and 3PL systems.

Lead solution workshops, design reviews, issue resolution, testing support, cutover planning, and hypercare readiness for manufacturing and logistics processes.

Drive standardization, governance, data quality, security, and scalable architecture decisions across the Glendale manufacturing landscape.

Qualifications:

7+ years of SAP functional architecture or solution design experience in manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse management, or logistics environments.

Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA manufacturing and logistics capabilities, including MM, PP, QM, inventory management, and integration points with EWM.

Deep experience with SAP EWM, preferably decentralized EWM, including inbound, outbound, production staging, warehouse task execution, RF, automation, and yard processes.

Working knowledge of SAP Yard Logistics, transportation unit management, gate check-in/check-out, yard orders, dock scheduling, and yard-to-warehouse execution.

Experience integrating SAP with MES, SCADA, PLCs, plant floor systems, warehouse automation, ASRS, AGVs, quality systems, 3PLs, and middleware such as SAP BTP Integration Suite.

Ability to facilitate cross-functional workshops, document functional designs, evaluate design tradeoffs, and communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders.

Automotive, battery manufacturing, energy storage, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.
