Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to establish system information requirements and provide architectural leadership for enterprise-wide and large-scale information systems.

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and evaluating technology architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT standards, supporting cross-functional requirements and interfaces, and providing technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-level architecture encompassing software, hardware, and communications to support current and future business and technical requirements.

• Develop architectures that address cross-functional requirements, system interfaces, integration points, and external interfaces.

• Ensure proposed solutions are compatible with and compliant with established IT architecture standards and applicable standards profiles.

• Evaluate architecture solutions for alignment with platform, integration, and external interface requirements.

• Ensure solutions comply with the applicable common operating environment.

• Analyze workflows, organizational structures, technical processes, and planning considerations to identify issues and develop appropriate corrective actions.

• Provide technical leadership and direction to technical staff.

• Provide mentoring and guidance on software engineering design, development practices, and frameworks.

• Analyze technical alternatives and present appropriate technical options and recommendations to technical leads and clients.

• Drive technical planning and solution development for software portfolios.

• Author or manage the development of software and architecture designs.

• Support and manage technical evaluations of vendors and technology solutions.

• Develop and justify technical recommendations based on architecture, technology, and business requirements.

• Participate in and conduct Architecture Review Board (ARB) activities.

• Ensure architecture decisions align with applicable enterprise standards and technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in relevant technology and architecture roles.

• Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom software development using various programming languages.

• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring in software engineering design, development, and frameworks.

• Experience analyzing technical alternatives and presenting technical options to technical leads and clients.

• Experience driving technical planning and solutions for software portfolios.

• Experience authoring or managing software and architecture designs.

• Experience with vendor evaluations and technical recommendations.

• Experience conducting or participating in Architecture Review Board (ARB) activities.

• Ability to apply fundamental technical concepts, processes, practices, and procedures to technical assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or certification in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).

• MBA or other related advanced degree.

• Additional years of relevant architecture and technology experience.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Downtown Houston, Texas.
