Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, coordination, and execution of multiple machine projects in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks CAD design experience along with hands-on experience in plastics extrusion and converting machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks.

• Support multiple concurrent machine projects from design through manufacturing.

• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Work with PDM/PLM systems for engineering and product data management.

• Coordinate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams.

• Support Engineer-to-Order (ETO) machinery projects.

• Ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and project specifications.

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.

• Contribute to project execution with minimal onboarding and supervision.

• Support continuous improvement of mechanical designs and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

• Strong hands-on SolidWorks CAD design experience.

• 4+ years of experience with Plastics Extrusion and Converting.

• Strong experience with manufacturing documentation and BOMs.

• Experience with PDM/PLM systems.

• Experience managing or supporting multiple concurrent machine projects.

• Experience with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) machinery.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.
