Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to support our UK operations across both frontline operational (blue-collar) and professional (white-collar) employee groups.

This role is available on a fixed term basis initially - 12-14 months

Partnering closely with operational leaders and functional management teams, the HR Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor, driving people strategies that support business performance, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and a positive workplace culture.

This is a hands-on role operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, where success depends on building strong relationships, influencing decision-making, and balancing strategic priorities with operational HR delivery.

The HR Business Partner plays a key role in shaping and delivering people initiatives that attract, develop, engage and retain talent, while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Partner with operational and functional leaders to deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives.

Employee Relations & Employment Law

  • Provide expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and workplace investigations..

Change, Transformation & Organisational Effectiveness

  • Lead and support organisational change initiatives, restructures, acquisitions, integrations and business transformation projects.

Talent, Performance & Development

  • Partner with leaders to attract, retain and develop high-performing talent.

Reward, Recognition & Wellbeing

  • Provide guidance on compensation, reward and recognition programmes.

HR Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or contribute to HR projects that improve processes, systems and employee experience.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant experience operating in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
  • Strong experience supporting both/either operational and professional employee populations within a multi-site environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
  • Experience managing complex ER cases and workplace investigations.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and TUPE transfers.
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with leaders to improve business and people outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of performance management, talent development and organisational effectiveness.
  • Experience working within fast-paced operational environments such as logistics, services, manufacturing, distribution or field-based operations is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience).
  • Degree-level education desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across UK locations.
