Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Epic Training Manager to lead an enterprise Epic training program. The ideal candidate will oversee training strategy, curriculum development, training staff, user readiness, and training effectiveness for Epic implementations, upgrades, workflow changes, and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Epic training team, including trainers, curriculum development, and training operations.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide Epic training strategies, curricula, materials, and standards.
  • Coordinate training activities for Epic implementations, upgrades, workflow changes, and new functionality.
  • Partner with Epic application managers, analysts, clinical leaders, business stakeholders, and governance teams to assess training needs and readiness.
  • Develop training plans, schedules, communications, and readiness milestones for system changes.
  • Monitor training completion, effectiveness, competency, and user feedback; develop corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure training content aligns with approved Epic workflows, organizational policies, and operational requirements.
  • Support go-live and post-go-live training, including at-the-elbow support when appropriate.
  • Standardize training processes across multiple facilities while accommodating different clinical environments, including behavioral health, long-term care, and developmental disability services.
  • Provide regular status reports, performance metrics, risks, and recommendations to Epic leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Epic EHR training program management experience.
  • 5+ years of Epic implementation, upgrade, or optimization experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership and management of Epic training teams.
  • 3+ years of developing and managing Epic training curricula and materials.
  • 3+ years of experience with Epic training methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • 3+ years of project management and implementation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic certification or credentialing.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting behavioral health, long-term care, developmental disability, or other complex healthcare environments.
  • 2+ years of experience managing training across multi-site or enterprise Epic environments.
