Senior Software Test Development Engineer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Test Development Engineer - Remote position with a Global Medical Technology Company located in San Diego, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $63.00 - $73.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role involves the design, development, building, and maintenance of specialized automated test cases and solutions. The successful candidate will validate software products, including firmware, apps, and server platforms, by applying and maintaining quality standards. This position will also consult with software development engineers to resolve problems and train and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technically lead the team to design, develop, execute, and maintain product end-to-end automated tests for software/firmware integrations in our client's CGM systems
• Use AI systems to complete test development and execution at a fast pace with high-quality test coverage
• Develop and maintain CICT for the end-to-end test suite
• Record and track issues in the bug tracking system
• Analyze failures and collaborate with development teams to ensure root cause is investigated
• Review software and system requirements and design specifications
• Modify test protocols based on requirements changes and execute regression validation accordingly
• Create requirements traceability matrices which demonstrate test coverage of all features
• Follow internal software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures that comply with medical and security regulations

Primary Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related engineering field
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development or software test development related experience
• Minimum of 4+ years of programming experience with OOP languages such as Java, Python, and Ruby
• Proven experience in software testing and related areas of software quality assurance
• Knowledge of API based testing for server communications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for interfacing with peers in internal/external departments

Desired Skills:

• Software development or test experience in the medical device industry
• Knowledge of source code management, such as Git
• Knowledge of Android and/or iOS devices, including debugging, installation, and configuration
• Familiarity with a network debugging tool, such as Charles Proxy
• Knowledge of xCode and Android Studio/ADB interface
