The Role
- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Internal Model and wider capital framework.
- Lead capital modelling analyses to support strategic decision-making, business planning and risk management.
- Deliver capital assessments for underwriting, reinsurance, investment and wider business initiatives.
- Work closely with Risk, Finance, Underwriting and Reserving teams to provide insight into capital performance and requirements.
- Contribute to model validation, governance and regulatory reporting activities.
- Present modelling outputs and recommendations to senior stakeholders and committees.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, with the opportunity to step into formal people management responsibilities.
- Drive process improvements and support the evolution of modelling tools and methodologies.
- FIA qualified actuary.
- Strong capital modelling experience gained within the London Market, Lloyd's or broader general insurance sector.
- Experience working with Internal Models, capital assessment frameworks or economic capital models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical findings into commercial insight.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and confidence communicating with senior audiences.
- Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues, with a desire to progress into people leadership.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working across multiple business functions.
- Clear pathway into people management and leadership.
