Financial Reporting Analyst

Orka Financial is partnering with a global business in Bracknell to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their clients finance team.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll build your experience across financial reporting, technical accounting and a range of finance and business projects.

This opportunity would suit an analytical ACCA or CIMA studier looking to broaden their accounting knowledge, take on greater responsibility and progress their career.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of internal management information and business reports.
• Support the external audit, responding to day-to-day queries and providing supporting information.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Keep up to date with changes to accounting standards and relevant legislation.
• Help assess new accounting requirements and support the implementation of appropriate accounting treatments.
• Support the preparation of management accounts, liaising with relevant third parties and completing period-end closure activities.
• Carry out additional analysis and ad hoc reporting for finance management.
• Contribute to finance projects and wider business initiatives requiring finance input.
• Assist the Finance Manager with internal and external matters.

About you

• Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Some experience in financial accounting, reporting or a similar finance role.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Confident handling financial information and working to deadlines.

The role offers a salary of £35,000-£37,000, hybrid working and opportunities for career progression.
