EDI QA Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in EDI and Edifecs testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in validating healthcare EDI transactions, testing Edifecs implementations, and ensuring data accuracy across integrated healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for EDI/Edifecs applications
* Validate healthcare EDI transactions such as 834, 835, 837, 270/271, and 276/277
* Work with Edifecs tools including XEngine, SpecBuilder, and Transaction Management
* Analyze inbound and outbound EDI files and troubleshoot transaction errors
* Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on business requirements
* Coordinate with developers, business analysts, and client teams for defect resolution and requirement clarification
* Perform backend/database validation using SQL queries
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain QA documentation

Required Skills:
* Strong experience in QA testing with focus on EDI and Edifecs
* Hands-on experience with HIPAA healthcare transactions
* Experience with Edifecs platform/tools
* Knowledge of healthcare payer/provider workflows
* Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC methodologies
* Experience with API testing and SQL queries
* Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Skills:
* Experience in healthcare domain projects
* Exposure to automation testing tools is a plus
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
