Power Platform Developer
Detroit, MI (Hybrid/Onsite Tues-Thurs)
W2 contract role
12 months then eligible for Contract renewal
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to design, develop, and support business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and SharePoint technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience building enterprise applications, dashboards, workflows, and mobile solutions that improve business processes and enhance user productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft Power Platform Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Build and support applications using:
- Power Apps Canvas Apps
- Power Apps Model-Driven Apps
- Power Automate
- Dataverse
- Power Pages
- Power Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio
- Custom Connectors and APIs
- Develop reusable components and follow established development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and non-production environments.
Mobile Power Apps Development
- Design and develop responsive mobile applications using Power Apps.
- Optimize applications for iOS, Android, and tablet devices.
- Implement offline capabilities and mobile-friendly user experiences where appropriate.
- Conduct testing across multiple device types and screen sizes.
Power BI Development
- Create and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
- Develop data models, DAX calculations, and visualizations.
- Integrate data from multiple business systems and data sources.
- Work with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into actionable insights.
SharePoint Development & Administration
- Develop and maintain solutions in:
- SharePoint Online (Modern Experience)
- Legacy SharePoint environments (2013/2016/2019)
- Create and manage:
- Lists and Libraries
- Workflows
- Site Collections
- Forms and Content Types
- Permissions and Security Groups
- Support migrations and integrations between legacy and modern SharePoint environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft technologies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- SharePoint Online
- Legacy SharePoint platforms
- Experience developing mobile applications using Power Apps.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and data integration concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services and ecosystem.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Platform Certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, or equivalent).
- Experience with Dataverse and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of Azure services and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience implementing governance and security controls within the Power Platform.
