Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer with 15+ years of software engineering experience to work directly with customers and internal teams to design, develop, integrate, and deploy scalable technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on programmer in Python or Java, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in customer-facing, fast-paced environments. This role requires someone who can understand complex business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and take ownership from development through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade software solutions.
• Build applications, integrations, APIs, and automation using Python or Java.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, and customer teams.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Lead technical implementation and deployment activities.
• Optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering/development experience.
• Strong hands-on coding experience with Python or Java.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Forward Deployed / Solutions Engineering / Customer Engineering environment.
• Experience deploying solutions in enterprise customer environments.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with system integration and third-party APIs.
• Experience with AI/ML, data engineering, or modern cloud-native technologies.
• Previous experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
