Here at GXO, we're searching for an Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated night engineering team at our highly automated fashion distribution centre in Crick. Working in a fast-paced operation, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the performance, reliability and availability of cutting-edge warehouse automation technology. From investigating faults and restoring equipment to supporting long-term reliability improvements, you'll help ensure the operation continues to deliver for our customer around the clock. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in high equipment uptime and wants to work with advanced automation systems in a dynamic logistics environment.
This is a full time, permanent position working in the Panama shift pattern of 2-2-3 or 2-3-2 from 19:00 to 07:00

What youll do on a typical day:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Complete root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance
- Accurately record maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience working with automation, conveyors, sortation systems or material handling equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment
- Relevant engineering qualification NVQ Level 3, ONC or equivalent
- A proactive approach to problem solving with a strong focus on safety and reliability
