Senior Technician - Low Voltage Security Systems

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technician Specialist to lead the installation, commissioning, programming, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance of advanced electronic security and life safety systems.

This is a senior-level field position for someone who can take ownership of complex projects, troubleshoot issues in the field, and provide technical leadership to other technicians. You’ll work closely with project managers, contractors, customers, and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, commissioning, testing, and programming of integrated electronic security systems
• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshoot complex system issues-Install, program, service, and maintainAccess control systems, CCTV/IP video surveillance, Intrusion detection systems, Life safety systems, Integrated security platforms
• Provide field leadership and mentor junior technicians
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service
• Coordinate field activities with project managers, contractors, and other trades
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
• Maintain accurate project and service documentation
• Ensure work complies with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codes
• Provide professional customer service and technical support

Field Requirements: This is a field-based position requiring travel to customer sites throughout the region. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience installing and servicing commercial electronic security systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Gallagher, Software House, Genea, and/or Genetec experience is preferred but not required
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain security clearances as required.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
