The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to yard management protocols.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays, for night shift operations.
• Strong safety consciousness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous experience in operating heavy machinery or in a logistics environment is preferred.
