Job Description

Role Overview:

Our client, a high-profile Federal GovernmentDepartment, is looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 CRM Software Engineer to support both operational and transformational initiatives across the Department.

As a Dynamics 365 CRM Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions that meet business requirements and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and delivery standards.

The position requires strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders, the ability to work independently while providing technical guidance within the delivery team, and strong attention to detail with a commitment to high quality outcomes. The role also requires the ability to manage competing priorities across development, support and enhancement activities in a fast-paced, enterprise delivery environment while contributing to continuous improvement and technical uplift.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll be responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, configure and support solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate
  • Enhance and maintain existing CRM applications, including defect resolution, performance optimisation and minor enhancements
  • Develop new CRM functionality in line with agreed business requirements, enterprise architecture standards and security controls
  • Build and maintain integrations between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems using APIs, Azure services and approved middleware
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into high quality technical solutions
  • Support solution releases and deployments across environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD) using approved DevOps, CI/CD and release management processes
  • Work within a DevOps framework to support deployed solutions, including monitoring, incident and problem investigation, and ongoing maintenance
Key Requirements:

To be successful in this position, at a minimum you should be able to demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer / Developer
  • At least 3 years' experiencedeveloping applications within aMicrosoft Dynamics 365 CRM / Power Platform / Power Automate / .Net environment
  • Strong understanding of API's, integration patterns, Azure services and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience implementing security protocols, including modern authentication, identity management, and secure integration patterns
  • Experience working within an Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery environment
  • Experience working within large-scale Federal Government enviroments

Additionally, given the security requirements of this Department, candidates must be eligible to obtain an AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance to be eligible for this role. Please note that only Australian Citizens are eligible for this level of clearance, therefore non-citizens are unfortunately not eligible for this position.

Contract details:

This is a full time, 40 hour per week position, with aninitial contract period through until June 30, 2027 with 2x 12 month extension options available.

Working Arrangements:

This Department employs a hybrid working model, with a minimum requirement of two days a weekon-site at their CBD office.
