The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and timely placement.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Safely stack, move, and organize containers according to yard logistics plans.
• Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is strictly required for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including day/second shifts, weekends, and holidays with open availability.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
