Position: Senior Business Consultant - Loan IQ

Role Profile

We are seeking an AI-enabled, senior hands-on Finastra Loan IQ SME and Business Consultant who can independently lead complex, high-impact, multi-team initiatives with minimal ramp-up. The consultant will translate ambiguous commercial-lending needs into implementable, well-controlled solutions across business, Loan IQ Operations, technology, architecture, quality engineering, vendors, and upstream/downstream application teams.

• Deep, recent, hands-on Finastra Loan IQ functional experience across Deals, Facilities, Loans, drawdowns, servicing, payments, fees, interest, accounting events, and reporting. Limited or high-level exposure is not sufficient.
• Strong Commercial or Corporate Banking and syndicated-lending knowledge, including end-to-end operational workflows and controls.
• Typically 8+ years in BA, consulting, or complex delivery, including at least 4-5 years in a dedicated BA/Business Consultant role. Primarily Operations-only profiles are not suitable.
• Proven personal ownership of at least two complex Loan IQ projects from discovery through implementation and post-production validation.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguity, challenge requirements and solutions, manage competing priorities, and influence senior business and technology stakeholders.

Lead discovery; current/future-state, feasibility, root-cause, solution-option, and end-to-end impact analysis; and translate findings into clear recommendations.

• Own functional/non-functional requirements, process flows, data mappings, interface requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, change control, and end-to-end traceability.
• Analyze APIs, interfaces, batch, data flows, upstream/downstream impacts, mapping/reconciliation, and migration or conversion needs.
• Lead SIT, UAT, regression, end-to-end testing, defect triage, readiness criteria, sign-offs, cutover, production validation, and warranty support.
• Manage scope, estimates, assumptions, dependencies, risks, decisions, governance, and executive-ready status communication; guide BA deliverable quality.

Use approved AI/Generative AI to improve analysis, documentation, traceability, test design, estimation, and knowledge management, with human review and accuracy, privacy, security, and compliance controls.

Preferred:

Loan IQ upgrades or transformations; APIs, batch, migration/conversion, SQL, accounting/reporting; Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365 Copilot; BA workstream leadership; regulated Canadian financial-services experience.
