Job Title: Java OSS Architect


Location: Richardson, TX / Cary, NC / Ashburn, VA / Basking Ridge, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Avancuers seeking an experienced Java OSS Architect with strong Telecom OSS domain expertise and full-stack application architecture experience. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular/React, with a focus on telecom service fulfillment, assurance, inventory, order management, and network provisioning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong Telecom OSS expertise in service fulfillment, service assurance, inventory management, order management, and network provisioning.

  • Full-stack architecture and development experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular/React.

  • Expertise in Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, and enterprise application architecture.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development.

  • Strong database knowledge across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL technologies.

  • Understanding of OSS integrations, middleware, API gateways, event-driven architecture, and TM Forum Open APIs.

  • Proven experience in solution architecture, technical design reviews, and leading development teams.

  • Strong stakeholder management, client-facing communication, and Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BSS/OSS transformation programs for Tier-1 telecom providers.

  • Knowledge of Fiber, Mobile (4G/5G), IP/MPLS, SDN/NFV, and network automation.

  • Exposure to OSS platforms such as Netcracker, Amdocs, Nokia, Ericsson OSS, or ServiceNow Telecom.

  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.

  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven network operations, predictive maintenance, DevSecOps, and security architecture.

  • Relevant certifications in TOGAF, SAFe, AWS/Azure Architecture, or TM Forum.

  • Experience leading onshore/offshore teams and delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution is required. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
