  • Base salary between $81,000 - $101,000 + penalties + 12.75% super (dependent on qualifications & experience)

Purpose that Counts

Based in Townsville, our Electronic Repair Centre is looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join their team on a permanent full time basis. This role will require you to carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications and electronic equipment and report on the performance and condition of the telecommunication assets to ensure safe and effective operation.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Install, maintain and repair telecommunication and electronic equipment to component level in accordance with predefined work programs.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements and legislative policies.
  • Maintain records and associated documentation.
  • Report on actual work performed and condition irregularities against the scheduled maintenance program.
To be considered for this position you will need:
  • Sound skill in the installation, maintenance and fault rectification of telecommunications equipment and systems.
  • Unrestricted Driver's Licence.
  • Previous experience in bench repair desirable.
  • Be available for call out/stand by duties, overtime and higher grade relief as required.
  • Work away from home station and travel throughout Queensland as required.
  • Must have flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required.
