The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis.
• Stack, move, and organize containers according to yard logistics.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Open availability for shifts, including potential second shift (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM) or day shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and a collaborative spirit for teamwork.
