Job Description

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the team.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Deliverables:

  • Lead and motivate project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across projects.
  • Manage stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Manage project scope, cost, schedule, quality and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee procurement and manage contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed time, cost and performance requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and supplier performance.
  • Complete regular project, commercial and performance reporting.
  • Ensure projects meet required governance and assurance standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to wider business objectives.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience managing major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design through to handover.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and project delivery.
  • Experience managing cost, risk, change and programme.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors and consultants.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
  • NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation, or willingness to achieve it.

Desirable

  • SMSTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure or defence projects.
  • APM qualification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Experience using contract administration systems such as CEMAR.
