The Work Manages systems engineering and software engineering activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
Ensures software standards are met. As a Manager within the Readiness Integrated Engineering department, you will lead a multi-discipline team of approximately 15-20 engineers executing the design and development of products within the Readiness product line. Readiness Integrated Engineering develops products which span several markets segments and programs including Aegis CSL, Aegis BMD, Solid State Radar, Space Fence, and Laser. You will be responsible for providing direction to the team, ensuring innovative solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget.
In this role you will partner with the department and the MDSE IE Organization to advance our products, processes, and technologies as we look to evolve our engineering practices to best execute current work and win future opportunities.
Management responsibilities include: • Oversight of team members technical contributions, including resolution of resource conflicts on executing projects • Fostering employee engagement and professional development • Cultivation of talent thru support of new employee hiring/recruiting activities • Performance assessment, career development & guidance, work assignments, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing and recruiting. • Monitoring technical performance and evaluating individual and team performance • Controlling budgets and schedules in support of customer objectives • Generating cost estimates for work to be performed • Providing status to the department's senior management and engineering program managers • Advancing Digital Transformation objectives and ensure Technology and practices are consistently applied in

Basic Qualifications • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field • Strong understanding of the software engineering development process • Cost account manager (CAM) experience and EVM experience or similar financial oversight • Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Skills • Cost estimation, proposal and/or capture experience • Demonstrated project and team leadership experience • Proven leadership experience in the architecture, design, requirements, implementation, integration of weapon systems • In-depth understanding of system engineering processes and/or development processes • Knowledge of Aegis BMD, Domestic and Foreign baselines and missions • Demonstrated experience leading diverse engineering teams • Experience with developing and advancing DevSecOps tools, technologies, and processes (Agile, CI/CD, MBE, Software Factories, Test Automation, etc...) • Knowledge and experience with resource and staffing requirements • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating (verbal, written and presentation) with various employee levels, senior management, internal stakeholders and external customers Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
