Job Description

Newstaff Employment Services are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Machine Operative to join our client in Leighton Buzzard. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing training and development prospects.

As a Machine Operative, you will be expected to set up machines, monitor their operation, carry out quality checks, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring production machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Setting up and adjusting machines as required.
  • Performing quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery.
  • Reporting any faults or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
  • Working effectively within a team to meet production targets.
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operative or in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
  • Good manual dexterity and technical aptitude.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts if required.
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

  • Temp-to-perm opportunity with a pay increase after 3 months
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm
