W2- Business Analyst- Remote

Job Title: Business Analyst/Consultant -IV

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Wi

This position will be focused on application development projects using JAVA and PrimeReact on a Kubernetes platform.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

• Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops, interviews, and storyboarding sessions to identify:
• Business objectives
• Functionality gaps
• Business processes
• Provide system analysis to identify integrations and assess impacts to existing processes and functions across teams.
• Assist the Project Manager with:
• Creating work breakdown structures from requirements
• Entering and managing tasks in Jira
• Taking notes during meetings

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary communication channel between:
• Operational teams
• Subject matter experts (SMEs)
• Development teams

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Translate business requirements into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) criteria.
• Execute test plans and validate system fixes.
• Coordinate resolution of UAT and testing feedback with developers.
• Incorporate ADA compliance into the UAT and QA process.

Lifecycle Support

• Oversee the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including:
• System specification preparation
• Final deployment
• End-user training
• Lead software demonstrations and training sessions.
• Draft:
• User-facing documentation
• Knowledge articles
• How-to videos
• Assist with customer support related to policy, process, and how-to questions.

Backlog Management

• Own and refine the product backlog.
• Write detailed:
• User stories
• Acceptance criteria
• Mapping for Java backend services
• Mapping for React frontend components

Technical Communication

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on:
• System architecture
• API integrations
• Database design
• Help stakeholders understand application capabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 10–12 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in enterprise Java/React ecosystems.

Technical Skills

• Deep foundational understanding of:
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• APIs
• Microservices
• Modern UI/UX principles
• Exceptional capability with:
• Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Jira
• Confluence

Soft Skills

• Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate directly with non-technical business users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Business Analyst certifications.
• Jira experience.
• ADA compliance experience.
• Other related certifications.

·       Technical Skills: Must have a deep foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), APIs, microservices, and modern UI/UX principles. Exceptional capability in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira or Confluence.

·       Soft Skills: Must be a self-starter and consistently perform with a sense of urgency. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate directly with non-technical business users.

Nice to Have Skills:
