Quality Engineer

• Support site delivery teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Project Quality Plan.
• Support the Build Clean Strategy Water Quality Assurance Management Plan, implementation to meet Reg 31 regulations.
• Carry out daily inspections of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and HARP QMS.
• Undertake Quality surveillance on quality records as required.
• Review Subcontractor quality plans and ITPs for temporary and permanent works.
• Work closely with the Materials Engineer on material approvals and material testing.
• Support the set up and maintenance of material storage yards with appropriate quality controls and record keeping.
• Close collaboration with the Site and Quality Team for the analysis of defects or nonconformities.
• Promote the reporting of Nonconformances (NCRs) and Opportunities For Improvement.
• Collate business / contract Quality Management statistics in a timely manner and submit to the Quality Manager for reporting purposes.
• Maintain Lifetime Quality Records as necessary to ensure compliance with SUK procedures and HARP Contract Requirements.
• Stop work with the agreement of the Quality / Site / Project Management at any time if drinking water quality standards of the works are question.
• Checking and approving completed reinforcement cages against relevant segment reinforcement drawings.
• Determining the concrete strength of cast segments.
• Establishing repair requirements and co-ordinating the repairs.
• Undertaking finishing inspection of the segments to determine acceptance or rejection.
• Liaising with the Segment Production team and Quality Manager.
• Producing weekly quality report for the site team.
• Any other specific projects / tasks given by the Quality Manager.

• Experience in general Quality Assurance.
• Experienced in Quality Assurance Procedures and Controls.
• HND/Degree or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline is desirable.
• Observant and analytical.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
