Job Description

Job Overview

The Quality Inspector (QA/QC Technician) ensures that energy storage products, components, and on-site installations adhere to strict quality standards. This role performs detailed inspections, manages non-conforming materials, conducts root cause analysis (RCA), and maintains comprehensive documentation for battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Positions available to support projects in The Houston Texas area, Arizona or Southern California.

· Autonomy & Initiative: A proactive self-starter who identifies issues and drives resolutions with minimal oversight.

· Technical Communication: High proficiency in capturing clear photo documentation and drafting highly accurate, technical reports.

· Vendor Oversight: Ability to successfully guide and monitor third-party contractors through system remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Site and Production Inspection: Execute Inspections and Test Plans (ITP) for equipment installation, commissioning, and manufacturing milestones.

· Field Documentation: Capture comprehensive photo documentation and draft highly accurate, detailed quality reports.

· Remediation Management: Oversee and direct third-party contractors during system remediation activities to resolve technical issues.

· Non-Conformance Management: Identify, flag, and document defective materials or workmanship while tracking non-conformance reports (NCRs) to completion.

· Documentation and Reporting: Prepare, oversee, and maintain turnover documentation, quality audits, and weekly/monthly project quality reports.

· Supplier and Site Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers and subcontractors to enforce quality standards and safety protocols.

· Root Cause Analysis: Perform rigorous RCA on quality issues to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field preferred.

· Experience: Proven history in QA/QC roles, specifically within energy storage, manufacturing, or construction environments.

· Technical Skills: High computer literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

· Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with quality methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S) and proficiency with ERP and Quality Management Software.

· Core Attributes: Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
