Role : Data Engineer (Vulnerability Management Workstream)

Location : Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support a Vulnerability Management workstream. The engineer will be responsible for building scalable data processing solutions that ingest, transform, enrich, reconcile, and monitor vulnerability data from multiple security tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines for vulnerability scanner data.
• Develop data transformation, normalization, and enrichment processes.
• Create scanner adapters for security tools including Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Checkmarx, and similar platforms.
• Implement data comparison, reconciliation, and deduplication capabilities.
• Integrate security data with ServiceNow, CMDB, and data platforms.
• Develop monitoring and alerting mechanisms for pipeline health.
• Optimize data quality, performance, and scalability.
• Support production deployments and operational readiness activities.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and ServiceNow teams.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience handling large-scale security or vulnerability datasets.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with data reconciliation, deduplication, and quality validation.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ServiceNow VR or SecOps.
• Experience with security scanners such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, or Checkmarx.
• Experience using Airflow, Spark, Databricks, or similar frameworks.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity or security operations programs.
