We're hiring for one of the most critical defense agencies in the United States, responsible for the development, delivery, and support of the nation's naval platforms. The Role

• Manage naval architecture aspects for major aircraft carrier program systems integration, offering the shipbuilder's and aircraft carrier platform perspective.
• Develop and set engineering policy for compliance by project engineers, system integrators, and contractors.
• Plan, design, and report on high-risk engineering operations for system and aircraft carrier design.
• Represent the agency on matters of engineering policy to negotiate critical integration outcomes.
• Demonstrate experience in planning and managing complex programs for ship design, maintenance, repair, and modernization.
• Evaluate and incorporate the latest developments in Naval Architecture and Engineering Systems into technical plans and specifications.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent via coursework and/or professional registration.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to NH-03 (GS-13) in managing systems engineering projects for ship or ship system design, development, or maintenance/modernization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Experience with high-risk engineering operations and system integration challenges.
• Knowledge of current Naval Architecture and Engineering Systems developments.
• Eligibility for federal employment (US Citizenship required).
