local to the DFW area and open to going onsite 4 days a week – 7834 C  F Hawn Freeway
Power BI is going to be the bigger focus for this role. 

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Analytics Engineer with strong experience in SAP HANA, SQL, Power BI, BODS, and BOBJ to support enterprise analytics and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production-based/manufacturing environment and understand the transition from legacy analytics platforms to modern BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and optimize analytics solutions using SAP HANA, SQL, Power BI, BODS, and BOBJ.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Support and troubleshoot existing SAP BOBJ and BODS environments.
• Analyze and modernize legacy reporting, ETL, and analytics solutions.
• Translate legacy processes into modern, scalable analytics solutions.
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Work within Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Manage development activities, defects, and work items through Jira.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, BI, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Required: Experience in a production-based industry, preferably manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA and SQL.
• Strong Power BI development experience.
• Experience with SAP BODS and BOBJ.
• Demonstrated experience with legacy-to-modern analytics modernization.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using Jira.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, reporting, and enterprise analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred
• Experience migrating BOBJ to Power BI.
• Experience modernizing BODS/legacy ETL processes.
• Experience with Azure or modern cloud analytics platforms.
• Experience with data governance and enterprise BI standards.
