About the Role
A well-established Bay Area law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to help lead its growing Trust & Estate Litigation practice. This senior role will drive complex case strategy, mentor attorneys, and contribute to the group's continued development.
What You'll Do
Lead complex trust, probate, and fiduciary litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Develop case strategy for will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, surcharge actions, and elder abuse matters.
Represent trustees, executors, administrators, beneficiaries, seniors, and their families.
Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor and primary contact on key matters.
Contribute to business development and the growth of the practice.
Supervise, delegate work to, and mentor associate attorneys.
Help shape the direction and culture of the Trust & Estate Litigation Group.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of dedicated trust and estate litigation experience in California, with active involvement in litigation matters.
Expertise in probate court proceedings, will and trust contests, fiduciary duty claims, accounting disputes, surcharge actions, and related elder abuse litigation.
Active membership in the State Bar of California in good standing.
A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Experience leading complex case strategy and supervising or mentoring junior attorneys.
Leadership skills and interest in developing a growing practice group; Bay Area trust and estate litigation relationships are valued.
Collaborative approach and willingness to work from the San Mateo, Pleasanton, or San Jose office.
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid, with San Mateo as the primary location. Pleasanton and San Jose office options are also available.
