Technical Writer – Documentation Recovery

Location: Spartanburg, SC – 100% Onsite, - Schedule: 40 hrs/week | Light local travel

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support an IT Documentation Recovery initiative. The candidate will create, standardize, and organize technical documentation in collaboration with IT SMEs, Business Analysts, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop SOPs, runbooks, system/process documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
• Create Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Incident Response, and recovery documentation.
• Translate complex technical information and SME interviews into clear documentation.
• Create Visio diagrams, workflows, and process maps.
• Use Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Establish documentation standards, templates, versioning, and lifecycle practices.

Portfolio: Must provide 2–3 sanitized samples of previous technical documentation.
