Role Overview

You excel at delivering an engineering led, commercially focused outcome from inception through to completion including deployment and successful operation in a production environment.

You are an AI native, accomplished at both agentic software development and delivery, as well as the development and deployment of agents themselves. You are comfortable working across the technology stack from top to bottom and from UI to messaging, service and data tiers.

You are responsible for the engineering of our product data stack, ensuring it continues to scale while maintaining fast response times, 99.9% uptime and minimal errors.

Your influence is felt across Finder globally, but success will not be based solely on your output-it will include the performance of those around you. You are a force multiplier and enjoy mentoring less experienced engineers.

Main Responsibilities

• Software Engineering across Finder's Product Data and related stacks
• Guide projects and deliver on deadlines with cross functional teams, working side by side with other senior engineers to tackle complex, ambiguous problems.
• Quality and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Agentic orchestration to achieve simultaneous delivery of significant work at pace.
• AI tooling, protocols and management.
• Embody, demonstrate and reinforce our company values.
• Improve and automate processes and workflows to reduce human toil.
• Champion great software engineering principles for a better experience for our users.
• Work autonomously or with other team members.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing less experienced crew.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years experience in software engineering (or equivalent)
• Java/Kotlin and multi threaded software engineering
• Demonstrable experience using Agents and engineering AI workflows
• SRE, DevOps and networking experience, including monitoring, alerting and support.
• Demonstrable security, regulation, compliance and auditing expertise.
• Software and Systems Architecture and solution design including SOA, Microservice architectures, messaging and event processing.
• Multi agent reasoning systems
• Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Thought and/or people leadership.
• Excellence in architectural design

Nice to Have

• Demonstrable results from cross disciplinary and cross timezone software delivery.
• Experience with Kotlin and GKE.
• Effective branching and merging techniques such as GitFlow and Trunk Based Development.
• App design and development.
• High performance, low latency computing.
• Massive use, global scale platforms.
• Financial Regulation in Australia, the USA and/or Europe.
• Security concepts and certification experience including SOC 2, PCI or ISO27001.
• Experience creating reusable integration layers across systems for AI tool calling and evaluating agent performance.
