About the Role

Join a team building software for industrial R&D and laboratory workflows. You will serve as the technical partner in pre-sales, helping prospects see how modern data tools can improve research and product development.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical pre-sales engagements, from initial demonstrations through value cases, technical evaluations, and pilot execution.

  • Build tailored demonstrations, workshops, and pilots around prospective customers' R&D workflows.

  • Partner with sales colleagues and customer stakeholders to communicate business value and support new customer growth.

  • Present technical evaluations and explain how digital R&D data management can support research and innovation.

  • Mentor junior team members supporting technical evaluations.

  • Write scripts and configure platform integrations for customer engagements as needed.

  • Travel 25% to 50% for prospect meetings, presentations, and workshops.

What We're Looking For

  • Four to seven years of experience, including at least four years in digitalization, change management, or leadership in R&D.

  • An advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science, ideally with a focus on machine learning or computational methods.

  • Strong chemistry or materials science expertise and familiarity with enterprise R&D workflows and laboratory informatics.

  • Experience building and demonstrating technical platforms for enterprise customers, with a value-based pre-sales approach.

  • Experience in R&D leadership at a large chemical or materials organization is preferred.

  • Python scripting skills are helpful, as is experience in technical management consulting.

  • Fluent English and advanced proficiency in the relevant local language for European-based candidates.

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly, and work authorization in the US, UK, or Germany.
