Cashel Palace Hotel is looking for a Prep Chef to join our culinary team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in doing things properly and would like to be part of a professional kitchen team in a luxury five-star hotel.

The Role

Working closely with our chefs, you will help ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and other ingredients
• Completing daily mise en place
• Preparing basic stocks, sauces, garnishes, and other food items
• Portioning, labelling, and storing food correctly
• Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
• Keeping preparation areas clean, organised, and ready for service
• Following HACCP, food safety, and allergen procedures at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, organised, and hardworking
• Comfortable working as part of a busy kitchen team
• Particular about cleanliness and food hygiene
• Able to work efficiently and consistently
• Interested in food and keen to learn

Previous kitchen experience or food safety/HACCP training would be an advantage.
