Pension Calculations Lead - Contract Opportunity

600- 700 per day Outside IR35

We're looking for an experienced Pension Calculations Lead to join a growing organisation helping individuals recover historic State Pension underpayments.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a complex pensions remediation process, lead a team of case handlers and help shape the calculation methodology as the business scales.

The Role

• Own and develop the methodology for calculating pension entitlement and arrears.
• Act as the technical authority on complex, borderline and disputed cases.
• Lead and quality-assure a team of case handlers.
• Ensure calculations are accurate, consistent and compliant with published rules.
• Support the introduction of automation and AI to improve efficiency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of State Pension entitlement, qualifying years and arrears calculations, or directly transferable pensions remediation experience.
• Experience developing or significantly improving calculation methodologies.
• A background in leading or quality-assuring pensions calculation teams.
• Excellent technical judgement when handling complex cases.

Experience in pensions administration, benefits advice or introducing automation into calculation processes would be advantageous.

This is an advisory and technical leadership role, working within established processes and published guidance.

This permanent role requires the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting at SC/DV level. Clearance sponsorship will be provided where required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements. If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
