Position: Lead Java / Front-End Developer
Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 6+ months with Possible extension
Employment Type: Contract/ Hybrid
Job Description
The successful candidate will serve as a senior application developer responsible for the design, development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade web applications and portals. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Angular, Node.js, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, AWS, containerization, and modern cloud technologies.
The developer will work closely with technical leads, architects, business analysts, and other development teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance solutions supporting business objectives.
Required Skills

• Java/J2EE: Strong enterprise application development, architecture, integration, and troubleshooting
• Front-End: Angular 7+, React, JavaScript, responsive UI development
• Backend/API: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, GraphQL, Apollo GraphQL, Express-GraphQL
• Authentication: Passport.js, SAML/SSO, passport-saml
• Database: PostgreSQL / Amazon RDS, SQL, query optimization, Knex.js
• AWS: ECS, Fargate, ECR, S3, Lambda, AWS SDK, cloud deployment
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration and scaling
• Cloud: Serverless and cloud-native application development
• DevOps: CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting
• Leadership: Technical design, code reviews, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification
• Healthcare / Medicaid / Government project experience
• Enterprise portals or high-volume transactional systems
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
