Sr. Construction Project Manager

Job Summary:
Manage and oversee field construction activities, inspections, quality, safety, and contract compliance for a VA medical center project in West Palm Beach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document construction and quality inspections
• Ensure work follows plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements
• Review RFIs, submittals, drawings, and contractor documentation
• Monitor contractor performance, materials, payroll, and inventory
• Track deficiencies, daily reports, project correspondence, and RFIs
• Attend meetings and coordinate with VA facility management and contractors
• Review quality control reports and final inspections
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and construction regulations
• Support project closeout and review as-built drawings

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture OR 14 years of related experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Fluent English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint

Preferred:

• VA or hospital construction experience
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools
• Knowledge of hospital construction and engineering disciplines

Work Requirements:
Must be comfortable working on active construction sites, including walking long distances, climbing ladders/scaffolding, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Occasional nights, weekends, or holidays may be required.
