The Role

• Installation of various cables and electrical systems, including junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches.
• Performing cable termination and installation of all electrical equipment according to specifications.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with shipbuilding teams to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
• Ensuring all work adheres strictly to safety and quality standards.

What You'll Need

• A completed Modern Apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3) or equivalent trade qualification, with a valid SJIB card.
• Proven experience in marine installations or large industrial environments.
• Familiarity with risk assessments, PUWER, COSHH, and safe working requirements.
• Ability to read and follow trade drawings, electrical schematics, and technical instructions.
• Understanding of tag-out processes and safe proving-dead procedures.
• Proficiency in mounting electrical equipment, earthing components, and completing cable terminations to trade standards.
